"Ladies in Waiting"
Canvas Size: 20" Width x 16" Height
Medium: Liquitex Acrylic Paints
This is another painting from my Cape Cod Rowboat series. We were driving around and found this marina in Falmouth. The main colors are tones of Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Brown, and Blues. It has been painted in a Contemporary Realism style with lively, bright colors that will bring life to any room.
The stretched canvas is 3/4" thick gallery wrapped with the painting extending out to all the sides. It has been varnished three times to protect it and give it a glossy shine. It’s ready to hang right out of the box with wire and screw eyes attached to the back of it.
***Painting is NOT framed, only showing an example of how it could look framed.
I've been painting and drawing as long as I can remember. I have exhibited and sold my works since 1988. My paintings grace walls throughout United States and Canada. In 1994, I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, concentrating in studio painting from Westfield State College in Massachusetts.
I'm inspired by the natural beauty of landscapes, seascapes and even looking towards the clouds drifting across the sky. Most of my focus is of New England, from the forests and mountains of Vermont and the Berkshires to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, since this is my home, my haven. Although God's work is the most beautiful masterpiece of all, my goal, as an artist, is to present my own romanticized view of the world. A world where you can escape to and feel uplifted by. In these times, we don't need grey skies and dull colors. We need life, light and hope. One of the ways I achieve this is to use pure colors with little diluting and I often choose to paint natural landscapes untouched by man (or slightly developed areas).
